Itinerary

Join us for a half-day Darwin crocodile tour, where you can observe dangerous and aggressive predators in their natural habitat.

We travel approximately 60km southeast from Darwin city to the Marrakai wetlands, which is home to a diverse range of native birds and reptiles, including saltwater crocodiles.

The Top End of Australia is home to a large population of saltwater crocodiles, mainly in and around Darwin, Mary River, and the Adelaide River region. Therefore, it is highly likely that you will encounter numerous crocodiles throughout the day in the natural waterways of the Northern Territory.

The saltwater crocodile is the largest reptile in the world. It is also one of the oldest living creatures, dating back to the dinosaur age. These creatures can grow up to 6 meters long and weigh 1000kg. One well-known crocodile, named ‘Sweetheart,’ was captured near the Adelaide River. Sweetheart had a habit of chewing motors off boats and stealing cows from farmers. Sadly, Sweetheart passed away in 1979 but is now preserved in the Darwin Museum.

Our staff are provided with Wildlife Permits by National Parks and Wildlife to ensure the safety of animals during our interactions with them.
